Our Experience

JOHNSON MOORE has the experience, resources and reputation to manage and prosecute a wide variety of complex personal injury and consumer cases. We regularly represent clients in cases involving  car accidents, other serious personal injury, elder abuse, wrongful death, medical malpractice.  We have also been co-counsel and lead counsel in several ground-breaking Class Action cases representing class members in Ventura County and beyond.

While we are  highly selective in the cases we take, we pride ourselves in taking the time to listen.  Although all of our cases are “large” we analyze cases in a unique way, and some of our largest verdicts and settlements come in cases that other lawyers reject, and insurance companies or defendants minimize.  In fact, just three of our Ventura County trial verdicts (Arellano, Medina & Matthews) resulted in total verdicts of over $14.3 Million dollars, and in each case no offer was made before trial.

We meet once a week to round-table every new potential case that presents to our office (many as referrals from other attorneys) and in the vast majority of cases we do not take we make a referral to another attorney or firm we know and trust.

Because of their years and experience and success in Elder Abuse/Neglect and Patient’s Rights litigation, both Mr. Johnson and Ms. Moore are frequent lectures on these topics.  Accordingly, we are often consulted by other firms throughout California at all stages of litigation.  This includes everything from the “Do I have a case” phone call at the beginning of a case, to helping with trial strategy.  In additional to referrals from other attorneys, we will often formally co-counsel as late as 48 hours before trial.

What we stand for

Johnson Moore is focused on protecting the rights of those in need or who have not been heard. We are committed to keeping our community informed and protected from those who may cause them harm. Our experience and success has proven to be a valuable resource that we share with our clients and organizations created to benefit our communities.  We are particularly proud members of the California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR), and a founding member of Elder Justice Advocates. This is a group of Elder Abuse attorneys throughout California who, along with their clients, pledge a portion of every case to the prevention of further abuse and neglect.

As a CANHR Elder Justice Advocates™, we are committed to supporting California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR) in its effort to improve the lives of residents in California skilled nursing facilities and assisted living homes. CANHR is a vital resource to elders and their loved ones and a powerful advocate for long term care residents, with a mission to prevent abuse and neglect of elders and persons with disabilities. As an Elder Justice Advocate, my clients and I agree to pledge a portion of the proceeds from every elder abuse / neglect case involving long term care to California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR). This is just one way in which Johnson Moore, APC supports CANHR in its work to improve the quality of care in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.
